Many individuals may be minding their own business when they are unexpectedly involved in serious events. Some parties may even be on their own property when they suddenly find themselves injured due to the actions of another individual. If head trauma or other severe injuries result from an accident, there may be cause to seek compensation.
One man in Oklahoma may be looking for such restitution after a recent crash. Reports stated that the man was on the porch of his home when a car crashed through a fence, hit a parked vehicle and proceeded to collide with the man and his porch. The driver of the car was reportedly under the influence at the time of the incident and claimed to have been speeding, which resulted in her losing control of the car.
The man suffered serious injuries to his head and leg as a result of the incident. The driver of the car was also reported as having suffered a head injury. She was taken into custody and later released on a $5,000 bond. Results for a blood-alcohol test were apparently not available at the time of the report.
